ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER

My name is Emily, I am the person behind the camera at Milly J Photography. I am here to guide you through all components of your session, and create a fun and enjoyable experience. I have been in the industry professionally for nine years. My passion for photography started as a young teen and has developed into a wonderful business years later. I want to share a little bit about myself so you have an idea of who you will be working with! When I am not photographing, I am busy running around with my husband and our six wonderful children (you know the modern day Brady Bunch). Milly J Photography originally began as Candid Smiles Photography in Bluffton, SC nine years ago. It moved the the Memphis, TN area and is now located in Denver, CO. With the big move to CO - I decided “why not change things up a bit”, and that’s why I changed the name to Milly J Photography. The name change was inspired by my husband who gave me the nickname “Milly” but you can call me Emily! I am so excited to be serving the Denver Metro area. Along with running the business locally, I do travel around the United States for work.

YOUR EXPERINCE

You can expect a boutique experience when working with me. My client's happiness is always my first priority. The first step to scheduling a session with me is having an in person or over the phone consultation where we will go over things such as what to wear, location choice, and products available for purchase. During the consultation we will set a time for your session and you will leave being prepared for, and confident about your session. Approximately two weeks after your session we will have an in person or zoom purchasing session where you will get to see all of the professionally edited images from your session (approximately 30 for a portrait session) and purchase your wall art, albums, prints, and digitals. I hand deliver all products to my local clients and ship to all of my out of town clients. I love to add personal touches to all of my sessions to make them special. I am so excited to work with you!
